While standing atop a hill overlooking the beautiful Doughty Valley, Eric and Julia Guggisberg decided that all of this nature was something that they wanted to share. They had always dreamed of owning an inn, so they established the Guggisberg Swiss Inn in 1993.
The Guggisberg Swiss Inn is a quaint 23 room Inn located in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country. Doughty Glen’s wines are available for tasting in the lobby of the Guggisberg Swiss Inn. The Inn features a selection of standard rooms, king rooms and a jacuzzi suite. It offers a hot breakfast in the morning.
What makes us really unique is our location and landscape. We also allow our stable horse to roam the grounds. It is what some would call a “quiet country paradise”, we have lots of land to walk and view. We are located within a short driving distance of many of the local area attractions that Ohio’s Amish Country has to offer. There is a duck pond out back, horseback riding on premises, and plenty of areas to take in the wonderful sunsets that we often get. We are away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet close to it in distance.

Because the Guggisberg Swiss Inn is a family-owned-and-operated facility, you can often find one of Eric and Julia’s daughters at the front desk with a smile on their faces and ready to check you in. What makes our inn unique is our location and landscape.

The Inn offers a wide array of amenities, and extras to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A hot buffet breakfast made from scratch id included with each person’s stay, as well, as free WiFi and flat screen televisions in every room with access to Satellite channels.
